Best way to get from Alexendra Headlands to Movie World?

Staying at Alexandra Headlands and was thinking of going to Movie World on the Gold Coast. Is it possible to get public transport? How long would it take?

1. Public transport will take forever. Renting a car would be a better option. I attach a link so you can do more research for yourself.
2. Drive! Public transport would be 3-4 hours minimum. Alexandria Headlans to Movieworld would be about 200+kms - and not exactly serviced by a regular service, would be bus, train, train, (maybe another train) bus. About 2 hours driving, onto the highway take the Gateway arterial road (toll bridge) and follow the signs.
3. Gosh!! Well, I'd find out how you get to Movie World from Brisbane and then get a bus to either Palmwoods or Beerwah train station, train to Roma Street maybe. Or get the Sunshine Airport bus to the airport - you should be able to get to the Gold Coast from there. Seriously though, just hire a car. If it's a good run it'll only take 2 hours to drive. It'll take you that long just to get from Alex to Brisbane on public transport.... if you're lucky!
4. the trip by public transport takes 3 and a half hours minimum and costs $27 for an adult return ticket. If there is more than one person travelling then in this case you are definately better off getting a hire care which you can get for about $40 for a small one for the day. for more info on the public transport side of things check the site below
